Stella Diakou
SENIOR RESEARCHER
Stella Diakou holds a PhD in Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology from Bryn Mawr College (USA) and brings more than 15 years of experience spanning archaeological research, cultural heritage work, and international and EU-funded project work.
At T6 Ecosystems, she specialises in impact assessment, monitoring methodologies, and stakeholder consultation primarily within EU funded projects, including STARTS Prize, STARTS Ec(h)o, Pacesetters, PartArt4OW, Möbius, and MediaFutures. She contributes to proposal development, policy dialogue, and the design of qualitative and mixed-method evaluation frameworks, and has produced analytical and policy-oriented deliverables for the European Commission.
Her academic work is grounded in Mediterranean and Cypriot archaeology, antiquities law, and heritage interpretation, with a focus on material culture, contested landscapes, and the long-term dynamics of cultural interaction across the ancient Mediterranean. At T6 Ecosystems, her research focuses on the social value and impact of arts, science and technology collaboration, the development of multidimensional impact assessment methodologies, and the strategic role of culture and cultural heritage in fostering democratic participation, transdisciplinary innovation, and social cohesion in a European context.
